Beautify your eyes with mascara

Hi all,

Hope all is well.
As they say, “the eyes are the windows to an individual’s soul.” Wearing a mask every day now, this statement couldn’t be more accurate. Here’s the importance of wearing good mascara!

I believe that even without eye shadow or liner, the simple application of mascara can make your eyes look more alluring and attractive!

If you’re like me you’ve been guilty of keeping your mascara for months! And it’s not safe for your eyes’ health. Most women have experienced itchy, watery eyes, often attributing irritation and allergic reactions to their cosmetics, more precisely, mascaras. But contrary to that belief, mascaras and eyeliners flaking and running into the eyes. A lot of people think it’s allergies, but it’s not! Mascara causes most eye problems. Therefore the importance of using good clean mascara. As I mentioned in my post How to transition into a clean lifestyle: Steps to an easy transition to clean beauty! using mascaras is an easy way to start your transition or simply to look for a healthier alternative to clean beauty.

To emphasize and open up your eyes, curl your lashes with an eyelash curler before applying any mascara. Choose from a variety of coloured mascara but sticking to the basic colours of black and brown would definitely give a more sophisticated and dramatic look.

How often should you change your mascara?

Experts recommended changing our mascaras every three months to avoid bacteria build-up. You should hear the popping noise every time you open your mascara as if it was brand new! If you no longer hear this sound….you know it’s time to buy a new one.

Here are a few good clean mascaras:

Note | Volume Act Mascara *One of my favourites!
Josie Maran | Argan Black Oil Mascara
Bite Beauty | Upswing Full Volume Mascara
Saie | Mascara 101 Lengthening and Lifting
Kosas | The Big Clean Volumizing + Lash Care Mascara

Let me know if you’ll try one of these mascaras.
