DIY Relaxing Oil

Hi all,

Having a good night of sleep is vital for the good function of the human body. Here are some essential products to use to help you have a restful night’s sleep. It is recommended for adults to sleep 7-8h every night. According to research, insufficient sleep is linked to depression, overweight, increased body inflammation, affects our moods and emotions, and causes us to be less productive and energetic during the day. If you have sleeping problems, try this the following relaxing oil. 

Almond oil: Lightweight moisturizing oil, helps to minimize stretch marks and scars, maintains softness and suppleness of the skin, absorbs quickly, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant.

Lavender and Chamomile: Reduces stress, sleep inducers, decreases anxiety, anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing properties.

Magnesium oil: Helps to ease your muscles and joints, relieves muscle tension, helps to achieve deep and restful sleep, calms the brain and provides relaxation to the body and mind, boosts energy.

Ingredients:

1 ½ cup Almond oil
2 tbsp Dried Lavender buds* (If you don’t have  dried lavender, you can use Lavender essential oils instead.)
5 drops Lavender essential oil
2 bags chamomile tea
2 tbsp Magnesium oil
Mortar & Pestle
Strainer
Empty container

Instructions:

Put the lavender buds in a mortar. 
Use the pestle and gently crush the lavender buds to release the oil from it. 
Open two chamomile tea bags, add it to the mortar and crush them with the lavender.
Pour the Almond oil in your glass container and add 2 tbsp of magnesium oil.
Add the dried herbs to the mixture with drops of the lavender essential oil *
Leave the oil to infuse for 24-48hrs. Strain the herbs from the oil. For more concentrated scent, add drops of Lavender Essential Oils. 

And voilà, your oil is ready to use!

Apply on damp skin after showering.
